The article analyzes the value base of nanotechnology and NBIC initiatives. Scientists declare them as corresponding to the basic values proclaimed in "The Universal Declaration of Human Rights", "The United Nations Millennium Declaration", and so on. It is noted that for the most part the projected radical innovations do not consider the revision of the human status and his/ her dignity as a priority value, although a set of general social values may vary over time. It is proved that the guarantee of this priority claims the final control to be left for a man, and the human society. However, there are serious obstacles towards this requirement implementation. They are associated with agonistic nature of acceptable values of the civilized world, with diverse heterogeneity of the estimates subjects and their corresponding activities.
