The article reviews the most important studies of the activities of Aleksey Nikolayevich Derevitsky and the first three published documents from his family archive demonstrating his personal closeness to the Russian imperial family: a membership card of the State Council of Russia and two letters of appreciation, including the letter from the Great princesses Anastasia and Militsa related to his work in the Committee for Assistance to the wounded, sick and convalescent officers and lower ranks (Kiev). The expiration date of the above mentioned membership card shows that Aleksey Nikolayevich Derevitsky participated in the work of the last thirteenth session of the State Council. The exact dates of the work of Aleksey Nikolayevich Derevitsky in this body of the government authority were determined in the doctoral dissertation of A. P. Borodin (2000). The study of the dissertation context of Aleksey Nikolayevich Derevitsky's entry into the State Council reveals that he was promoted under the imperial quota from the post of the Trustee of Orenburg educational district with the purpose of strengthening the position of right-wing forces in this Council. The article also shows the role of Aleksey Nikolayevich Derevitsky in the activities of the Committee for assistance to the wounded, sick and recuperating officers and lower ranks.
