Merezhkovsky. Debating with the realists, he interprets this phenomenon through the prism of mysticism; the category of the symbol appears as a means of a different vision of the world and the empowerment of the artistic imagination. The authors conclude that symbolism had a significant influence on Merezhkovsky&amp;rsquo;s philosophy throughout his creative career. This draws attention to the peculiarities of the symbolic interpretation of the text by the Russian thinker in different periods of his work.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article proposes to look at one of the not fully clarified questions about the specifics of creativity and worldview оf Dmitry S.
