The paper discusses the key interpretative approaches of Professor Damjanov to understanding Pavic&amp;rsquo;s reinterpretation of the traditions of Serbian literature and the creation of new postmodern perspectives by him. It is shown that Professor Damjanov accurately and in an original way showed the interrelation and significance of Pavic&amp;#39;s scientific and artistic works in the history of Serbian literature. In addition, the importance of the research of Professor Damyanov lies in the fact that he tries to highlight the question of the influence of mysticism in the intertextual combinatorics of Pavic, in the context of the interaction between the topos of the Borges&amp;rsquo; labyrinth and the principles of &amp;ldquo;the open work&amp;rdquo; concept of Umberto Eco, as well as in the context of the intertwining mystical and postmodern poetics.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>This article presents an analysis of the nature of the research by Professor Damyanov of the creativity of Milorad Pavich by means of the analytical-synthetic method in the following aspects. 1)&amp;nbsp;The common distinctive features of the mission of Savva Damyanov as a historian of literature and literary critic are considered. 2)&amp;nbsp;The general distinctive features of the attitude of Professor Damyanov to the scientific and artistic creativity Pavic are established. 3)&amp;nbsp;The immanent characteristics of Pavic&amp;rsquo;s literary work were studied in the context of Serbian literature, given by Professor Damjanov. 4)&amp;nbsp;The study of M.&amp;nbsp;Pavich&amp;#39;s works by S.&amp;nbsp;Damyanov in the context of world literature is analyzed.
