The article discusses the need and possibilities of training specialists for agro-tourism in the conditions of dynamic development of the tourism industry with outbound tourism possessing particular importance. The author demonstrates the importance of a complex study in training specialists for agro-tourism. The author concludes that there is a necessity of ensuring the implementation of a competence-based approach, the enhancement of relationship of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the implementation of GEF BD, and the development of new qualification requirements to the primary positions in the tourism industry.
