The article analyzes poems from the notebook of verses by young N.&nbsp;Strakhov. The place and importance of poetic experiments of the future literary critic in his creative biography is determined. It gives the opportunity to clarify traditional opinions on Strakhov&rsquo;s aesthetic views and the philosophical system later reflected in his literary criticism. Some of the verses from that notebook are presented at the end of the article.
