It is shown that sects and new religious movements have typological similarities with the doctrines of older heresies. The author substantiates the need for Old Believers and the Russian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate (ROC MP) to jointly confront the threats of globalization through the restoration of the foundations of religious education and the family church.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article gives a brief analysis of the experience of Old Believers-Pomorians in fighting against innovation in Christianity, which is based on the saintly and patristic approach to heresy.
