Primary attention is paid to the analysis of A.A.&amp;nbsp;Grigoriev&amp;rsquo;s philosophical position, which in its views made a transition from Hegel to Schelling, which contradicted the general intellectual movement of the era. The philosophy of revelation and the organic concept of art became the foundation of the &amp;ldquo;organic criticism&amp;rdquo; developed by Grigoriev. The article demonstrates that Grigoriev&amp;rsquo;s commitment to Schelling was not epigonism; on the contrary, it was the result of a conscious choice directed against the utilitarianism of the 1860s and Hegelian rationalism, and also formed the basis of a distinctive pochvennik aesthetics (ideas based on a return to folk roots).</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>This paper examines the correspondence between A.A.&amp;nbsp;Grigoriev and&amp;nbsp;N.N.&amp;nbsp;Strakhov in 1860-1862 as one of the most important sources of reception and original reinterpretation of the ideas of classical German philosophy in Russian thought of the mid-19th century.
