Various media tools play a key role in this process, which have become one of the main tools for constructing social reality. The relevance of the research, therefore, is due to the need to understand the ambivalent nature of media, which act not just as a channel for transmitting information, but as an agent of modern myth-making. The purpose of the study is to analyze how myth-making media practices influence the formation of political culture in Russia, fluctuating between the need for modernization and the tendency towards archaization. The main hypothesis is that the media perform a dual function: on the one hand, they can act as a vehicle for archaization, preserving traditional, irrational patterns of behavior through the creation of simplified political myths. On the other hand, they also provide platforms for new solidarity and critical discourse, working to modernize political consciousness. Thus, the study reveals the dialectical role of the media as a factor that can both complicate and stimulate the transition to more complex forms of political culture.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The dynamics of the political culture of modern Russia is characterized by a contradiction between the desire for modernization and the trends of archaization.
