Воспринятая модель отношений между государством и церковью в соответствующей стране отражается и на модели преподавания религии в светских учебных заведениях Европы, которые анализируются в контексте существующей типологии: 1). Обучение религии не фигурирует в качестве отдельного предмета; 2). Введена конфессиональная форма обучения религии; 3). Введена неконфессиональная форма. 
Обосновываеться тезис, что познание, понимание и принятие духовного и, в частности, религиозного различия лежит в основе перемен, происходящих в последнее время в этой сфере во многих европейских странах: в последние годы конфессиональное обучение религии подвергается критическому переосмыслению.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The paper analyzes the problem of religious education in public schools as a very important aspect in the State-Church relations. The established State-Church relation model in a particular country influences the religious teaching model in the public school. The paper analyzes a relevant diversity of forms and typology of religious education in contemporary Europe: 1). Religious education is not seen as a separate subject; 2). The introduction of a confessional subject; 3). The introduction of a non-confessional subject.
The Conclusion summarizes the confessional type of religious education in the public school.
