THE SOVIET JOURNALISM OF THE YEARS 30S – 50S AS THE ART OF SOCIALIST REALISM. POSITIVE CHARACTER

The phenomenon of Soviet journalism of 30s-50s of the XX century should be studied with the observation of the Soviet society. It is believed that this historical period was the time of the descent of ties in between the word and reality. It had a negative impact on journalism, because the latter should be primarily based on facts. When studying the Soviet journalism of the 30-50s, we came to the following conclusions. The meta conflict (the conflict in between order and chaos) and typology of positive characters (culture character – action character – average Soviet man) coincided with the meta conflict and typology of positive characters of dominating artistic method of that time – the socialist realism. The main chronotope of the Stalin’s epoch became the chronotope of a parade as a report form from the society to its leader. Newspapers presented several forms of parade-reports, such as the celebratory parade; concert; folk "spontaneous" festival held after or before elections, elections, etc. Parade is an antological form of existence of characters and an average Soviet man in the totalitarian culture. The characters' life in the parade got the agreeable interpenetration and made sense.
