HISTORY AND CONVERGENT TECHNOLOGIES
Rapid technological development, accelerated in the XXI century, poses new challenges for the social sciences, including historical knowledge. As we can remember, 2017 was inextricably linked with the boom of electronic payments (the number of Initial coin offerings (ICO) of cryptocurrencies doubled over the year, and the prices of the famous cryptocurrencies Bitcoin and Etherium rapidly increased more than ten times). Such a socio-economic impact shows the significant role of emergent technologies in the contemporary social life. The present study discusses the potential of convergent NBICS-technologies, especially the Blockchain concept for application in the development of historical knowledge. Besides, an attempt is made to discuss the convergence technologies impact on historical process, as well as their influence on the transformation of historical knowledge, which will lead to emergence of inevitable innovations in professional historian writing. To preserve the completeness of historical knowledge, it is proposed to take into account possible trajectories of social transformation and to develop methodological tools of historical science based on interdisciplinary synthesis.
