The paper is focused on the feasibility of the thesis that complex psychological, ethnological, sociological and folklore approach involving the "unconscious" helps to understand "how it becomes social", how musical folklore contributes to understanding the mechanisms of conscious and mental life regulation and reveals the characteristics of the information and communication environment.
Methodologically the paper is presented in the form of a complex interdisciplinary psychological, ethnological, sociological and folklore approach to the organization analysis of special scientific knowledge.
As a result of the study, the author reveals a variety of ways of identifying communicative and value bases of musical folklore.
The output application is possible in research, educational, scientific and creative activity.
The main conclusion is that the scope of musical folklore promotes understanding of humanitarian technologies of conscious and mental life regulation and reveals the characteristics of information and communication environment.
