Synthesis: to the history and literary and philosophical contexts of the concept
The article is devoted to the history of the coming into being of the term “synthesis”, its typological characteristics, the contribution of the scientists, researchers, litterateurs, poets and writers into this issue’s investigation. Particular attention is paid to the use of this term in art, where among the varieties of synthesis we distinguish between genre synthesis, artistic synthesis, universal synthesis, west-east synthesis and the synthesis of literary traditions. The author tries to reveal the synthesis of literary traditions.
