ADAPTATION OF RUSSIAN CLASSICS IN COMICS OF ROYAL YUGOSLAVIA

The article presents the results of the author's study of the history of the painted Russian novel in the 30s in Yugoslavia, as well as the development of the basic elements of the poetics of comics as a complex synthetic phenomenon. The author provides a basic understanding of the nature and methods of graphic art/drawn literature, as well as a brief overview of the history of Russian comics as a form of national literature drawn in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The study shows how adaptation takes a well-known story as a basis, translates it into a form of comics and processes it in accordance with the requirements of the new genre, while maintaining the ideological and philosophical meaning of the original work, and subjects it to the laws of dynamics of drawn stories.
