The concept of Fatherland and patriotism by A.S. Shishkov
The need to study the concept of the Fatherland and patriotism of A.S. Shishkov is due to the need to verify the objectivity of assessments of the conservative patriotic position. The analysis allows us to draw the following conclusions. The fatherland, according to the views of the thinker, is a spiritual shrine, its main and obligatory elements are faith and language. The content of the Fatherland also includes natural, political and cultural components. The state and the sovereign can influence the Fatherland, but there is no identity of the state and the Fatherland. Patriotism is natural, it is a consequence of the Fatherland performing the function of humanization. He who has no Fatherland reduces himself to the level of an animal. Patriotism is alien to the rational choice of the best conditions and benefits, it is a commitment to a spiritual and moral ideal. Hence, it is obvious that there are no objective grounds for the accusation of leavened patriotism. The admirals concept of xenophobia and chauvinism is alien, he offers to study and apply foreign cultural achievements in practice, only love for someone else is denied, his preference is where there is a similar one of his own. The admirals reasoning confirms the idea of awareness of identification on the basis of the Fatherland. The importance of patriotic education is proved; pedagogical recommendations are formulated. Patriotism should be active, patriotic consciousness should be formed through images, the educator should be a compatriot and a sincere patriot.
