NATIONAL IDENTITY OF WESTERN UKRAINIANS AS AN ETHNIC GROUP
The paper discusses the features of national identity of Western Ukrainians as an ethnic group. For a more detailed analysis of the topic, the conceptual apparatus of the article is developed, the boundaries of the ethnos under study are determined, the leading features inherent in this community are analyzed, which separate Western Ukrainians from other ethnic entities. National identity through the prism of slogans of various political actors with support in the “Western” regions was studied with a number of methods. In the final part of the study, a number of parameters are identified that characterize the national identity of Western Ukrainians.
