Catastrophe catalyst or rational subordinate? How sociology of management explains manager’s «absurdity»

The paper is aimed at studying research optics, with the help of which sociologists are able to capture and interpret managers’ actions. It is concluded that structural functionalism and theoretical management are limited in tools of unsimplified scientific interpretation of that manager’s actions who is in a state of inter-role conflict between divergent boss and a subordinate roles. We assume that in such situations the manager’s actions are explained by the performance of the second role rather than the first.
