Using generative artificial intelligence in political communication
This article analyzes the transformation of political communication under the influence of generative AI. New content creation methods are considered, including deepfakes, chatbots, AI avatars, and targeted emails. Using examples from the US elections and the 2025 crises, the article illustrates the risks of disinformation, mind manipulation, and rising political tensions. Positive aspects (personalization, resource conservation) and serious challenges (loss of trust, ethical issues) are highlighted. The authors conclude that comprehensive regulation and the preservation of human control over political narratives are essential.
